EOZ Audio has delivered a true 100% wireless headphone experience with their Kickstarter backed Bluetooth behind the ear EOZ Air headphones. With 52 hours of playtime, no-touch Bluetooth connectivity, and above average sound quality, these earphones at just $109, are quite the steal.
Right out of the box, the technology on these things felt very cool. Auto charging, auto Bluetooth connectivity, cool tap options on the actual earbuds meaning no clunky tiny little buttons to try and pause, skip, etc. I did at 1st have an issue with my right earbud not syncing but after an easy resync of the earbuds they were back working fine.
The charging system is really cool as well and is one of my favorite parts of these earbuds. Yes, you need to charge the carrying case, but the fact that you can just take this little case with you and know that you have earbuds for over 90 hours is absolutely magical.
Now that I'm done fawning over all the cool technology these things have, let's talk about the comfort and sound. I never liked memory foam tips, so I took those right off and went to the silicone. These are quite comfortable once put on. The behind the ear section of the Air's is really lightweight causing no behind the ear pressure. These were definitely one of the more comfortable and sturdy pair of behind the ear style headphones I've ever used.
The sound quality on these is decent. The highs are highs and the lows are lows but the bass on these are very lackluster in my opinion. EDM as a genre emphasizes crisp, quality bass so this was definitely my biggest letdown overall with these earbuds. It truly doesn't affect you if you are listening at 50-60% volume, but if you're trying to go full blast techno bass lines in your ear, these really don't cut it.
Overall, EOZ Audio really have a cool concept with the EOZ Airs. While they aren't perfect, they are very well made and have some super cool technology. If they make a version 2 of these, I hope the focus more on the sound quality and just keep the tech where it is, because that would make these tough to beat.
