Andrei Rata, better known as Andrew Rayel, who is an extremely hard working Trance DJ, in which his dedication and passion to music and to his fans demonstrate his devotion. From performing and selling out worldwide venues such as Exchange LA, Marquee New York, Ruby Sky San Fransisco, and festivals such as Festival Kazantip, Global Gathering, Creamfields, A State Of Trance, Transfusion, Transmission, Tomorrowland, Electric Daisy Carnival, and Ultra Music Festival.
“I’ve got 16 tracks on it and I got collaborations with Emma Hewitt, Christina Novelli, Eric Lumiere, Max Vangeli, and KoMha, great collaborations that I’ve always wanted to do, I have a collab with ATB on the album as well so a lot of great exciting music out.”
Following by a huge tour supporting his sophomore album, returning to cities he played at before and playing at new nightclubs.
“We have very very big tour lined up, like two months in the USA doing big venues but also some intimate clubs, we have venues like Echostage, Webster Hall in NY, New City Gas in Montreal, a lot of venues and I’m very excited because it’s just a simple set for me, and for three-hour sets. I’m also going to be bringing new DJ friends along with us. I started at Pacha when it was opened, I played at Marquee, everywhere but not at Webster Hall. We’re bringing in a lot of production sound-system along during the tour. I look forward to playing at Webster Hall.”
Did you ever imagine the success would be this huge?
“This is a dream come true for me because with the first album we did a tour but it wasn’t a planned tour, the album was not planned. We have two months in the US and then to Europe, after that, we will do Asia, and then at the end of the year we go to Australia.”
Between touring, meet n greets, performing at nightclubs and festivals, how was Andrew Rayel able to complete MOMENTS? Between everything, he still manages to complete more milestones.
“It took me pretty long to make, it took me two years but after I released ‘Find Your Harmony’ I got a break for a year, so it took me two and half years. It never ends, it takes the time to put something good together, a lot of vocalists to work in, everyone is traveling so it’s hard to collaborate. It seems like it's going fast but then you look at the time and it runs by really quick.”
What inspired you to create MOMENTS?
“After the fist year of touring, I always get inspiration from my fans, I see all my fans jumping, smiling, actually having fun, I get inspired watching them, also a lot of situations playing at shows. ‘Once In a Lifetime Love’ was inspired by a show, someone messaged me that he wanted to propose to his girlfriend and he came on stage and he proposed, it was very emotional, she didn’t know what to do, she said yes!”
“A lot these things happen a lot, and a lot of the songs are inspired by what’s happening, everything — all the love.”
What’s your favorite song on MOMENTS?
“I love them equally because I spent so much time on each song, every song has a specific message that I wanted to deliver, and every song has a specific emotion. It really connects with me so I can’t really say. I love the intro track, ‘Moments' it's a real percussion track, there is no electronic music in it at all.”
The road to success has just begun and Andrew Rayel is ready to take on the world in the years ahead. The Trance DJ has no plans of slowing down, he continues to smile on everyone’s faces with all of his liberating music.
“I am going to launch my label on Armada Music and release my own music on my label, people send me music and I really like it and signing the music a lot and it be will be fun, so that’s the next step, after I get done with the album I’ll work on my label.”
