Big News For Culture Code Fans [Exclusive Interview]

Culture Code has some big news for fans. The original co-producer Dylan Norton has once again joined Chris Bains as Culture Code. The two members, based out of the United Kingdom, put out close to 20 songs before Dylan decided to shift his focus from producing music as Chris carried on. After close to 25 songs as a solo artist, the now once again duo of Culture Code has released Crazy Love.

The piano-driven melody sets a summer vibe behind pop vocals which were perfectly laid down by returning member Dylan Norton. The two producers have not skipped a beat as they combine forces to create a dance track ready for pool parties anywhere the sun is shining. The short synth bursts in Crazy Love seem to pay homage to the late Avicii’s Bromance; the standard set for summer anthems.

Culture Code took time from their busy schedule to answer a few questions. Listen to Crazy Love here and read the Exclusive Interview below.

Let us start in the beginning. Where did you two meet?
[Chris] We were about 13 years old when we met in school. [Dylan] Chris didn't like me at first, until we got sat together in class, we became best friends the day Chris made me skip lesson and we got caught by the head teacher, the rest is history!

What was it that made Dylan decide to take a break from creating music?
[Dylan] I was working 10 hours a day and trying to fit music in as well. It all got a bit much at the time.

Chris, what was the main difference between creating music as a solo artist as and co-producing?
[Chris] Creating music solo was a little quicker as the decisions rested on me alone. I will still be taking the lead on production going forward but working together yields more creative results, we definitely experiment with our music more and constantly try to impress each other.

Culture Code has returned to its roots as a duo. What was it that brought the reunion to fruition?
[Chris] I personally never intended on going solo, I always preferred working and traveling together so when we started working together a lot more it made the most sense to regroup. [Dylan] I was helping Chris in the studio; it felt fun and fresh so we decided to give it another go!

Has there been any type of rebranding since the two of you got back together?
[Chris & Dylan] There sure has! We have a brand new logo, a new symbol <•> and have really gone in on the theme of CODE, going for a futuristic/computer type theme, think the Matrix meets Tron!

Can you tell us how the new track Crazy Love came to be?
[Chris] We definitely put 100% of us into this song! I wrote the most of the lyrics, we got in the studio together and we changed bits around until we got the full lyric down. [Dylan] We were a bit impatient of waiting for vocals to come over so we decided that I would vocal the track, it’s something we had been debating for a while.

What are the Future plans for Culture Code?
[Chris & Dylan] Our plans are to keep creating original/unique music, build a deeper relationship with our fans (we appreciate them so much). We have a lot of Merch dropping soon and we can’t wait to play all over the world and just have fun with you guys!
