Matrix and Futurebound – Human

Matrix and Futurebound have released their third single of 2017, Human on Viper Recordings. The drum and bass duo have been on a tour in 2017 that has taken them to the four corners of the globe. The song contains vocals by Raphaella whose work you may know from working with the likes of Rudimental, Andy C, Dimension, Wilkinson, MNEK, and Gorgon City. Matirx and Futurebound have shown us how great they are with songs like Fire, Magnetic Eyes as well as being remixed by major artists such as Cyantific and Seven Lions.

Human is the perfect example of high a high-energy track from start to finish that never goes overboard. Staying in that baby bear “just right” area from the red riding hood fairy tale, the song shuffles along in great dnb fashion. The song starts off with building vocals from Raphaella. The percussion ticks off like a metronome waiting for the synths to crash in. Once the chorus hits the song explodes into a whirlwind of dnb. The melody for this track is light and airy yet it pairs perfectly with the darker bassline.
