Decadence Reveals Massive Lineup Including Deadmau5, Bassnectar & More
Still trying to figure out how to bring in the New Year this year? What if Deadmau5, Jack U, Bassnectar, Hardwell, Hot Since 82, Odesza, Gramatik and a few others helped introduce the new year with you? Well Global Dance’s Decadence NYE promises just that.
Decadence has become one of the go-to New Year’s destinations for Colorado ravers, taking over the Colorado Convention Center in downtown Denver every December 30th and 31st. Global Dance Productions, the same crew behind Global Dance Festival, built Decadence into a two-night takeover of the entire convention center, with multiple stages spread across the building so fans can bounce between a bass-heavy room, a house and techno room, and a big-room/mainstage setup without ever leaving the building — a pretty appealing pitch when it’s below freezing outside in downtown Denver.
From December 30th to 31st, Global Dance will be charging just $145 for both days at one of the year’s top parties. That price for a two-night, multi-genre lineup this deep is a genuinely great deal, especially with a bill that runs from Deadmau5’s progressive house headline set all the way down to bass music from Bassnectar and future-leaning acts like Odesza and Jai Wolf.

Excision
With Jack U (Skrillex and Diplo’s collaborative project) coming off one of the biggest years of either producer’s career, and Hardwell still riding high as one of the world’s top-ranked DJs, this lineup reads like a snapshot of exactly where dance music was in late 2015 — trap and bass on one end, big-room and progressive house on the other, and genre-blenders like Gramatik and The Floozies holding down the funkier middle ground. Add in rising names like Jai Wolf and Galantis, both fresh off breakout tracks that year, and Decadence is stacking a bill that should appeal to just about every kind of dance music fan heading into 2016.
