The Metropolitan Earbud Headphones come in an embossed and very modern package design that catches the eye with the slogan “Born In New York” and the famous skyline on the cover. The remaining panels go on to describe the different features that make these earbuds seem to stand out from the rest.
The feature that caught my attention the most was the memory foam ear tips as well as the option to change the tip out for three different sizes of the standard rubber tips. I have always had trouble with earbuds actually staying in my ears for more than five and a half seconds but I haven’t had them pop out of my ears yet.
The other standout feature is the In-line microphone module that is compatible with basically every device that Apple makes, except maybe the shuffle but c’mon son. You have the option to pause, skip tracks and answer calls.
Now let’s get down to how these actually sound. I usually don’t expect much out of earbud style headphones because they are designed for an active lifestyle but I was surprised by the quality of sound these put out. I listened to a few different genres of music with varying results but these headphones put out some decently deep bass as well as clean treble. My only complaint is that they do sound a bit hollow, almost like there is an echo that won’t go away.

Overall, these headphones exceeded my expectations and for the price they are a good buy. They sound great with Electronic music, especially trance because of the great balance between the bass and treble.
