Today Apple is celebrating it's 10th year of the popular iTunes store. The iTunes store was a revolutionary invention due to the high demand for buying music on the go and people wanting to do it legally. Each song on iTunes originally sold for 99 cents and the iPod dominated the market for MP3 players. Currently iTunes sells over 35 millions songs in 119 countries.
As iTunes launched back in 2003, they soon added podcasts in 2005, movies in 2006 and the App Store back in 2008.
