The high-end V-Moda Crossfade LP2's are designed to not only look great, but sound great as well. Here V-Moda targets the DJ as well as the typical consumer with the LP2s.
As I removed the V-Moda headphones from the unique and sturdy packaging, I was quickly impressed by the light-weight and sturdy material used on these headphones. The Matte Black edition look extremely clean as well as felt very well-built. The ear cups have a lot of padding and are a good size for the overall look and feel of the Headphones. After about 3 hours of use, these headphones were just as comfy as the first time I put them on.
Big Range of Sound
After turning on a mix of Kaskade's Coachella Set, Kill Paris' remix of Rudimental's “Feel The Love,” Sound Remedy's remix of Daughter's “Medicine,” Carnage and KillaGraham's Mr. Lover, Rameses B's “Meaning of Life” and Dillon Francis' remix of JT's “Suit & Tie” I was pleasantly surprised on how well these headphones sounded were all of the different genres of EDM.
The LP2's come with a frequency response of 5-30kHZ and produce a large range of bass. The speakers offer a fine tune of lows, mids and highs and didn't drown one another out. The LP2's did a great Job of blocking out the the outside sounds even though they don't consider them to be “noise-cancelling.” The Crossfade LP2s come with two Kevlar-reinforced headphone cables which allow for quite a bit of rough usage. These sets of headphones come with two different cords as one is used for DJs on stage and the shorter cord comes with a 3-button remote allowing you to be able to adjust your music player on-the-go.
The only drawbacks I could think of for these headphones was that they don't offer an ear cup swivel mount for live DJ performances.
Different Colors, Styles and Customization Available
The V-Moda Crossfade LP's come in 1 of 8 metal plate cover colors such as Matte Black, Croc Skin Black, Gunmetal, Chrome, Croc Skin Red, Pink, Purple, and Green. V-Moda allows you to upload personal logos and up to 11 characters in text which can be engraved on the metal headphone plates.
