Electric Zoo Phase 2 Lineup Is Here – Featuring Zedd, Galantis, Dada Life, Armin van Buuren, & MANY More
Since 2009, Electric Zoo has been New York City’s must go electronic music festival. It’s grown from one day to three, expanded into Tokyo, Mexico City, and Shanghai, but no matter where it is, nobody will forget about where it started, right in the heart of NYC at Randall’s Island. Now with Mysteryland being cancelled, this the only true EDM festival left in New York.
After announcing an absolutely mind-blowing Phase 1 lineup including Deadmau5, Eric Prydz, Above & Beyond, DJ Snake, Excision, and MANY more, they announced phase 2 today, and WOW. This could be the line-up of the year with so many big names on the bill.

This year’s edition runs Labor Day weekend, September 1-3, at Randall’s Island Park, and it’s carrying the theme “Electric Zoo: The 6th Boro” — a nod to the festival’s deep roots in New York City culture. Made Event, the promoter behind the festival since day one, added more than 40 acts in this Phase 2 drop, and the additions lean hard into the bass and techno side of things to balance out Phase 1’s more mainstage-heavy names.
Zedd and Galantis both bring pop-crossover pedigree to the bill. Zedd’s “Clarity” won the Grammy for Best Dance Recording back in 2014, and he’s continued building out hits that blur the line between EDM and mainstream pop ever since. Galantis, the Swedish duo of Christian Karlsson and Linus Eklöw, made their name on massive, feel-good festival anthems like “Runaway (U & I)” and “No Money.” Armin van Buuren rounds out the legacy talent — the Dutch trance icon has been ranked #1 in the DJ Mag Top 100 a record five times and runs Armada Music, one of dance music’s biggest independent labels.
On the bass side, Dada Life get their own curated stage experience this year (The Dada Land Compound), giving the Swedish duo room to bring their high-energy, banana-themed brand of electro house to life beyond just a normal set. Jauz brings his own hosted stage too, “Off The Deep End,” spotlighting the bass and future house sound he’s built his name on. Illenium, Kayzo, and Crankdat round out the heavier end of the bill with melodic dubstep and hardcore-tinged bass that’s become a defining sound of festival lineups over the past few years, while Rezz continues carving out her own lane with hypnotic, bass-heavy techno that’s earned her a cult following.
