Eric Prydz Announces 2017 Club Tour Dates

When talking about dominance of 2016 it is near impossible not to mention the legend, Eric Prydz. It seemed like every single week when Epic Radio would drop a new edition we would be frantically writing about a handful of new IDs from one of his monikers.

Of course Eric then made headlines as 2016 came to a close as he put together a beautiful tribute to a terminal fan who reached out in hopes of seeing him one more time. Unfortunately the fan, James, passed away before his dream could be realized. Prydz released a beautiful tribute in the form of a track known as Lillo, the fans last name.

Now fresh into the new year Eric Prydz is once again stirring up fans emotions has he has just released a club touring schedule which can be found below. While this is quite different than his Epic 5.0 performance which is so far only slated for stops in London and Creamfields, it is still beyond exciting as between Prydz, Pryda and Cirez D the amount of unheard music coming from the artist is stratospheric. Only one performance is expected to be a specific alias set, and that is his show at Space, Miami which he will be playing only as Pryda. Information on tickets can be found here. The announcement lined up with what fans had already been hoping for after a monster 2016 — confirmation that Prydz wasn’t slowing down as he moved between his main alias, Pryda, and Cirez D. Outlets like DJ Mag picked up the news too, confirming the North American club run was very much real and giving fans across the tour’s markets something concrete to plan around.

What made this run stand out is exactly what the original announcement teased: it wasn’t a rehash of the Epic 5.0 production. These were proper club dates, giving fans a much more intimate way to catch Prydz than the massive audiovisual shows he’s known for. For an artist who had just spent the back half of 2016 dropping ID after ID on Epic Radio, a club tour meant those unreleased tracks finally had somewhere to be tested out live.

The Pryda-only stop at Space Miami in particular stood out as a rare treat, since alias-specific sets from Prydz don’t come around often and tend to lean into a different, more underground side of his catalog than a standard headline show.

Between the tribute to James, the nonstop ID drops, and now a full club run to kick off 2017, Eric Prydz proved once again why he’s one of the most respected — and hardest working — names in dance music.
