Top 10 Acts To See At Escape All Hallow’s Eve 2014

It’s finally the week of Escape All Hallow’s Eve 2014 and we at EDM Sauce are simply ecstatic. We’re so excited for Escape this year that it's consumed our thoughts and it's all we've been thinking about! First, they’re returning home to the NOS Events Center, and secondly, the lineup is absolutely incredible! With such an amazing line up, I had a tough time coming up with a comprehensive list but nonetheless, it needed to happen. So without further ado, check out our choices for the ten best acts.

 

#1) Armin Van Buuren

Let’s be 100% honest here. It’s no surprise that Armin Van Buuren  is at the top of the list. The legendary Grammy nominated Dutchman has held the coveted number one position on the critically acclaimed DJ Mag Top 100 five times. His creativity in the studio, his weekly radio show ‘A State of Trance,’ and the energy he brings to every one of his shows is unparalleled and the loyalty of his fans is nothing short of amazing. Make sure to catch him close out Escape All Hallow’s Eve on Saturday at the Slaughterhouse Stage!

 

#2) Steve Angello

One third of the critically acclaimed group, Swedish House Mafia, Steve Angello has solidified his place in EDM. He’s in the process of releasing his first solo album Wild Youth, which already has a hit single in ‘Wasted Love’ featuring Dougy from The Temper Trap. Steve Angello helped grow EDM into what it is today, proving that EDM can sell out some of the largest venues in the world. With such an illustrious career, not just as part of Swedish House Mafia, but as a solo artist, Steve Angello is a must see at Escape this year! Catch him at The Slaughterhouse Stage on Saturday!

 

#3) The Bloody Beetroots (DJ Set)

Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo and Tommy Tea, AKA The Bloody Beetroots (DJ SET), have always wanted people to have more than just a good time. They want people to re-imagine the world and start a new one and they take them on this journey through every set they play. Their signature electro house sound has made them one of the biggest acts in EDM and has created some of the most inspirational music in EDM. Expect one hell of a set from The Bloody Beetroots as they take over the Slaughterhouse Stage on Friday.

 

#4) Tiesto

Dutch DJ and Producer Tiesto has had one of the most incredible careers in EDM history. His extensive musical library spans multiple genres as he’s experimented ever since his Kaleidoscope album and his sets are always explosive. After launching his radio show “Tiesto’s Club Life,” in April of 2007, Tiesto has reached number one on the Dutch Album Chart and number one on the Billboard Top Electronic Albums in the US. Tiesto has lived up to every one of his nominations and awards, making him one of the biggest names in EDM today. He’ll be at the Slaughterhouse Stage on Friday!

 

#5) Moby (DJ Set)

Moby (DJ Set)’s first single, ‘go,’ is listed as one of Rolling Stone Magazine’s best records of all time and his records have collectively sold over 20,000,000 copies worldwide. He’s played over 3000 concerts in his career and has had his music used in countless films. He’s worked and produced with multiple artists across several genres, including David Bowie, Metallica, Public Enemy, and more. Not only is he a great musician, he’s also a wonderful human being, caring for his fellow man as he works alongside multiple charities. His sets are magical in the sense that they take you on a rollercoaster of a thrill ride! Moby will be at the Slaughterhouse Stage on Friday!

 

#6) Sander Van Doorn

Sander Van Doorn has done an essential mix for BBC Radio One and his productions have been supported by more than 50 radio stations worldwide! He’s done remixes for Sia, The Killers, and Swedish House Mafia, just to name a few. With his recent collaboration with Martin Garrix and DVBBS, ‘Goldskies,’ Sander is ready to kill it at Escape, as he does in every set he performs! Catch him at the Slaughterhouse stage on Friday!

 

#7) Adventure Club

The Canadian duo of Christian Srigley and Leighton James, AKA Adventure Club, know how to electrify a crowd with their electronic sounds and heavy drops! They’ve played at some of the biggest festivals in the world and have killed it every time. Their debut EP, Calling All Heroes, hit #1 on iTunes Dance Album Chart in both the U.S. and Canada, making them one of the hottest groups in EDM right now! They’re one of the hardest acts to follow and will definitely surpass any expectations you may have of them! Check them out at The Chopping Block Stage on Saturday night.

 

#8) Paul Van Dyk

Paul Van Dyk has been hailed as one of Germany’s most successful musicians and one of the ULTIMATE superstars in EDM. DJ, artists, and producer, Paul has set the bar and surpassed multiple achievements in his career. He’s been voted the world’s #1 DJ twice and has remixed for Madonna, Justin Timberlake, and U2, just to name a few. He’s a legend in the EDM world and his incredible DJ sets bring crowds by the thousands! With multiple achievements and accolades from around the world, Paul Van Dyk is one of the most highly anticipated acts to catch at Escape. He’ll be at the Ghoul’s Graveyard stage on Friday!

 

#9) Simon Patterson

With 15 consecutive #1 hits on Beatport, it’s no surprise that Simon Patterson is on the list! With a music catalogue that’s filled with hit after hit, Simon’s Open Up brand was firmly established in 2013 as the destination for underground trance and techno. He’s headlined some of the biggest festivals and clubs in the world, including guest appearances at ASOT, Tomorrowland, EDC, and more, Simon incorporates a fusion of incredible audio and visual elements that make him a must see any chance you get. He’ll be at the Ghoul’s Graveyard stage on Friday!

 

#10) Aly & Fila B2B John O’Callaghan

The Trance Gods have blessed us as Escape All Hallow’s Eve brings us Aly & Fila B2B John O’Callaghan! The Egyptian duo of Aly & Fila host an internet radio show, “Future Sound of Egypt,” and their track ‘We Control The Sunlight’ was chosen as Tune of the Year on Armin Van Buuren’s “A State of Trance.” John O’Callaghan entered the DJ Mag Top 100 at number 60 and won ‘Best Producer’ and ‘Best DJ’ at the Irish Dance Music Awards. It’s literally going to be Trance heaven! Make sure to catch them as they close out Escape at the Ghoul’s Graveyard stage on Friday!

 

Honorable Mention #11) Benny Benassi

We couldn't leave out the legendary Benny Benassi! DJ and producer Benny Benassi has had an incredible career and is best known for his hit song ‘Satisfaction,’ but his remix of Public Enemy’s ‘Bring The Noise’ won a Grammy for Best Remix(Dance). He’s a legend in the EDM world and has worked with big name singers like Madonna and Chris Brown, just to name a few. Be sure to check him out at the Slaughterhouse stage on Friday!

 

With so many great performers, this was one tough list to make! Every one of these DJs and producers are worth watching.
