[Event Review] Netsky LIVE at The Regency Ballroom, San Francisco

Being a huge fan of Netsky, when I saw he was doing a small US Spring Tour and making a stop in San Francisco right before Coachella, I knew I was in for an amazing night. Not only that, but it was Netsky LIVE which is incorporating the full band with the drummer, lead keyboardist, Netsky himself on keys, and having MC Script to top it all off.

The night started off with Bachelors of Science warming up the crowd. Walking into the ballroom and feeling the bass rattling through my feet, I was thrilled to hear such great music early in the night. Bachelors of Science were setting off the crowd playing a few of their latest tracks like “Beats Still Own The Rhythm” and “Love Lost”. As they got to a close, it was 10 o'clock and the crowd was jumping, dancing, and craving for more.

The moment we were waiting for, Netsky begins and the room is instantly shaken as drum and bass fills the air. Track after track the crowd goes harder with each rhythm, and to my surprise there was no stopping until the last beat of the night. From newer material like “Give & Take”, “Come Alive” and “Wanna Die For You”, there was also a few tracks for the older fans like “Secret Agent”. The vibe of the crowd was at it's best with uncontrollable energy from the start. As I heard the first few notes of “We Only Live Today” I was excited to see Billie come out on stage as she sings the song live. Witnessing the singer for one of their most popular singles sing it live was really a treat to see.

Closing out the night with “Anticpate” and the ever lasting remix of Rusko's “Everyday”, the crowd jumped and danced with every last bit of energy they had. Netsky LIVE is definitely a unique experiencing seeing how all the live instruments incorporate so well together. Boris Daenen is an amazing musician with so many tricks up his sleeve and to anyone who has a desire for drum and bass, Netsky will surely lead your way.
