Another music discovery app bites the dust. This time the mega-social network has decided to call it quits on their Twitter #Music app. The #Music app launched last April in hopes to become a music discovery that allowed users to find new music based on their own Twitter activity and the popular activity of others. At launch, Twitter said that it would “change the way people find music.”
Later this afternoon, we will be removing Twitter #music from the App Store. If you have the app, it will continue to work until April 18.

We continue to experiment with new ways to bring you great content based on the music activity we see every day on Twitter.

Once you found a song you wanted to stream, Twitter would direct you to do so on Rdio and Spotify. Farewell Twitter #Music.
