In the wake of Avicii's sudden death, more and more stories of the late DJ and producer have come forward over the past week.
In 2012 the DJ and producer Tim Bergling aka Avicii went on a 27-date tour across America before donating his entire income from it to Feeding America. According to the company's website, “1 in 8 people struggle with hunger in the U.S. Feeding America is a hunger relief organization with a nationwide network of food banks feeding the hungry.”
A year after his tour, Avicii also reported having donated 1 million euros to the Swedish aid organization Radiohjälpen. The charity's Secret General paid tributed stating “rest in peace Tim Bergling and THANK YOU because you laid the foundation for Hunger Help with your generous contribution – 1 million euros – to Radiohjälpen,” she tweeted in a post translated from Swedish.”
Despite having quite a large net worth, Avicii said he didn't really need the money. “When you have such an excess of money you don’t need, the most sensible, most human and completely obvious thing is to give to people in need.”
