Marshmello And Khalid’s Smash Hit Receives Remixes From Tiesto, Illenium and Slushii: Listen

When Marshmello and Khalid first released their melodic smash hit ‘Silence', I claimed that the song was a bit of a let down. Clearly sometimes I have no idea what I am talking about, as ‘Silence' very quickly became a powerful statement that extended across genre lines. Now Marshmello has released 4 absolutely gorgeous remixes of the track from some of the most in demand artists in the industry.

Summer Camp starts off the remix EP and their sound is very different from the direction that other artists chose to take. That being said while Summer Camp took things a bit deeper with their remix, it is still overall a very successful edit.

While Slushii has had an impressive stream of bass releases in 2017, for his remix of ‘Silence' the artist has returned to the signature style that helped initially build his brand. The song is still mellow but now features a trap arrangement which gives the tune a new energy.

Illenium has infused his brand of future bass into his remix with massive success. ‘Silence' was already an emotional track in it's original form, but Illenium has injected an added layer of feels with his rework. Illenium first dropped this gorgeous remix at Lost Lands and ever since many have been chomping at the bit to hear the final product.

Tiesto in my opinion has delivered the most successful remix of ‘Silence'. Anytime I see ‘Big Room Rework', I get nervous. The big room sound is not known for it's originality and I was nervous an added element of energy might take away from the central message of ‘Silence'. I was incredibly wrong as this remix is just so damn perfect. Not only is it catchy and fun, but also keeps the integrity of the original mix in tact.
