As rumors continue to spread around about the future of SoundCloud, one Redditor decided to take it upon himself to do a complete backup of the SoundCloud database.
Apparently the SoundCloud database is 900TB, but that didn't stop this Reddit user makemakemakemake from downloading the entire website and all of its files over the weekend. The Reddit user posted the news after reports of SoundCloud only having a total of 50 days remaining and that users should back up their favorite tracks. SoundCloud has since denied those reports stating that it is in fact “here to stay.” The Reddit user “makemakemake” shared that he was able to download the entire site at a speed of 80Gb per second.
