Ra, also known as Abanoub Abdelnour, has released Awakening featuring Adara. The dark melodic dubstep track begins with what sounds like a hammered dulcimer, which is a stringed percussion instrument played with a spoon-shaped mallet. The song kicks into gear when Adara’s beautiful vocals come in over an electric guitar. The track builds towards the drop where the melodic dubstep really takes hold. Awakening is full of many different instruments and sounds creating a powerful and moving song that is full of raw emotion. Those few who were lucky enough to catch Ra open for Seven Lions down in Charlotte North Carolina last month heard Adara sing this amazing song live. With the amount of talent he has I am really looking forward to seeing the vision Ra has for his music come to life.
