The Chainsmokers Release The Remixes To ‘Something Just Like This’

When The Chainsmokers released their single “Something Just Like This” with Coldplay, critics knew that the song would became a worldwide hit.

Since its release on February 22nd, unofficial remixes have been spread rapidly throughout the internet. Today, The Chainsmokers decided to release all six official remixes from artists such as Alesso, Don Diablo, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, ARMNHMR, Jai Wolf, and R3hab. Listen to the official remixes of The Chainsmokers & Coldplay‘s “Something Just Like This” below.

They weren’t wrong to bet on this one. “Something Just Like This” ended up peaking at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and eventually racked up 13x Platinum certification from the RIAA, on top of Platinum or Gold status in a long list of countries overseas. It also picked up a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, which is a pretty rare crossover moment for a track that started life as an EDM festival anthem.

That crossover success is exactly why an official remix pack made so much sense here. Instead of letting bootleg edits keep circulating on SoundCloud, The Chainsmokers tapped six producers who each pull from a different corner of the dance music world. Alesso and Don Diablo bring festival-mainstage energy, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike lean into big room, Jai Wolf brings his signature melodic, atmospheric touch, ARMNHMR lean tropical and future bass, and R3hab closes it out with his usual polished, radio-ready style. Having that much range in one remix pack meant almost every corner of the dance music audience got a version of the song built for them.

Six official remixes in one drop is a lot to work through, but that’s kind of the point. Whether you’re after something you can drop in a festival set or just want a fresh way to hear a song you’ve probably had stuck in your head since February, there’s a version here for pretty much every mood.
