This tour is no quick behind the scenes peak but an in depth special look at everything you could ever imagine. You can see how Deadmau5 not only controls music, visuals, and the crowd behind the cube but also how the artist improvises during his performance as well. This is one of the coolest things we have seen in a long time. Mashable got a look that most people would kill for, and to see all the incredible technology behind the Cube 2.1 demonstrates that this might be one of the most impressive DJ stages ever created.

For context, Deadmau5 had brought Cube 2.1 out for its live debut just a couple of days before this video went up, headlining New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom on March 29, 2017. That show marked the first time fans got to see the new stage design in full action, which is exactly why Mashable’s walkthrough is worth watching closely — this isn’t some old, familiar rig getting a fresh coat of paint, it’s a genuinely new production getting shown off to the world for basically the first time.

The Cube has always been more than just a fancy DJ booth — it’s a giant, custom-built structure packed with LED panels, moving trussing, and enough programmed lighting cues to make most festival main stages look understated by comparison.
