Deadmau5 Talks About Feelings Towards Album and Marshmello

Recently, mouse head Dj, Deadmau5, was interviewed by the famous magazine, Rolling Stone. During the interview, Deadmau5 took the time to share his thoughts on his new album W:/2016ALBUM, and throw some serious shade towards famous Dj, Marshmello.

Deadmau5 was first asked about his comment on twitter about his new album. He chose not to speak about the issue, that he was “not allowed to speak about it.” Afterward, he was asked about his feelings about the album currently. He said:

“Having listened to it again, I'm now getting comfortable with it. There are some great songs – like, I really like “Snowcone” and “Whelk Then” and “No Problem.” I think I'm dissatisfied that it's not written from start to finish; it's over a year's worth of work that doesn't correlate. It's not The fucking Wall! I wanted the blowout, and I'm disappointed that I didn't do that.”

Later in the interview, Deadmau5 was asked about his feelings towards DJs, such as Marshmello, using similar helmet concepts as he does. Obviously, Deadmau5 had something to say about the fellow DJ instead.

“Wait, did you say artists like Marshmello? You mean people like Marshmello? Let's fucking clear the air on this one. I don't care if you're wearing a fucking helmet, I don't give a shit – with that logic, I ripped off Daft Punk. The thing that pissed me off after awhile was the constant dick riding [on Twitter]. “You trolled me, I trolled you” – whatever. Don't pass it off as a marketing technique. According to social media, all I do is sit around and burn pictures of this guy.”

If many of you are unfamiliar with their history, Marshmello and Deadmau5 have a bit of beef since this past year's Ultra Music Festival. Deadmau5 accused Marshmello of stalking him throughout most of his time at the festival. This then ignited a serious twitter war between the two. It is no surprise that the well-known DJ would be brought up in the interview, especially when mentioned. The Synth King obviously doesn't like that Marshmello started a twitter rant with him in the past. He feels like it was Marshmello‘s way of getting attention from the public.

Deadmau5 certainly continues to have beef with Marshmello, but honestly, when doesn't he have beef? He has a known history of having plenty of feuds with many DJs, including old pal, Skrillex. Is Marshmello offended by the offensive comment? Will Marshmello start another twitter rant? Only time will tell.
