With their last full length LP “Alium” going down incredibly well for their fans, electronic group Submotion Orchestra have just dropped their follow up collection. Released through label home Counter Records and coinciding with their current UK tour, “Colour Theory” is a beautifully put together album.
Across the tracklist comes a number of artist collaborations, as well as some ambient style orchestral cuts. Tunes such as the elegantly fluid “More Than This” and softly rhythmical, oriental “Kimono” stand out in particular, and the indie/folk stylings of “Needs” ft. Andrew Ashong are quite incredible.
