The melodic house flag-bearer, Felix Jaehn, has experienced a meteoric rise to superstardom within the last year. Although the Hamburg-based producer has spent years honing his craft in the studio, it wasn't until his remix of OMI'S “Cheerleader,” which dominated the radio airwaves around the world and topped the iTunes charts in over 55 countries, that helped his career take off to new heights. The dance luminary has proven himself as a strong artist in the studio – delivering fan-favorite tracks like “Book of Love” featuring Polina, his remix of Alina Baraz & Galimatias' “Fantasy,” his remix of Ed Sheeran's “Photograph,” and “Ain't Nobody” featuring Jasmine Thompson – and this year, he's primed to flip the page on his career and prove himself as a worthy adversary behind the decks as well.
In 2016, the German luminary will be making his Ultra Music Festival debut before taking his melody-driven style of tropical house on the road to the masses. Though Jaehn's tour schedule was lighter than normal in 2015, because of the time he spent in the studio, he still managed to hit major cities and festivals around the world, like Lollapalooza Berlin and Brazil's Villa Mix Festival.
Jaehn is already a superstar, but he's proved that there is no ceiling to his success, and we can't wait to see what he does this year. With only a month to go until Ultra, we've put together a list of our favorite Felix Jaehn mixes, from a guest mix for Thomas Jack, to a set at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, for you to check out, so you know what to be bumping this month.
