You may remember pop singer Natalie Imbruglia for bursting onto the scene in the 90's with her hit single “Torn,” which put her on the map for eternity. She won the Billboard Music Award for “Adult Top 40 Track of the Year” and won an MTV Video Music Award for “Best New Artist.”
Fast forward to 2015. Imbruglia is back with a powerful campaign for her upcoming album called “Male.” She's even added a bonus track which covers the song “Instant Crush” by Daft Punk and Julian Casablancas of the Strokes (a single off Random Access Memories). The album will be comprised of covers of songs that were written or performed by male artists.
Even now, It's not difficult to tell in her videos that Imbruglia used to be a soap opera actress. She's beautiful, very dramatic, and her style milks the Camera. It's a nice cover, though, and it's the featured single before her album is out in July. Check it out on iTunes for pre-order info. Check out her video and watch the original as well for nostalgia. By the way, if you didn't know – her hit song “Torn” was also a cover of a single by Ednaswap.
