The Chainsmokers have just released their first major original track since Kanye took the EDM community by storm last year. “Let You Go” is a progressive house collaboration with Great Good Fine Ok and is reminiscing of some of Drew Taggart and Alex Pall's original work.
“Let You Go” is is a mesmerizing combination of TCS' quintessential beats along with lyrics that adequately complement the song. Old-school TCS fans might be able to see the similarity between “Let You Go” and their 2013 remix of Lou Lou's “Julian.”
TCS first made contact with Great Good Fine Ok about two years ago, claiming they were “in love” with the single “You're The One for Me,” according to their Soundcloud page. TCS claim this was the first-ever original song they were intending on releasing before the whole #SELFIE craze happened.
“We think this is a really beautiful bend of all the styles we have exhibited in our other work,” they wrote. TCS teased the video for “Let You Go” on Twitter and Facebook, a release that will be coming next Tuesday.
So, what do you think? Do you love this track or do you just really really like it?
