UPDATE: SPOR provides an exclusive mix for BBC Radio 1. Listen here.
It's a big deal when Jon Gooch (Feed Me) talks under his Drum and Bass alias Spor, and he has done just that. Being on such a hiatus that has made people wonder if he will ever come back, it's with a great news that his album Caligo is set for release in March under his own label. 2015 is a big year for both of his aliases, growing a new fan base as well as welcoming the old timers. As of now, a 7 date tour of Spor is set to go that will span through the end of February and beginning of March.
Going back to his music, BBC's Annie Mac has premiered his new track As I Need You. Features beautiful vocals by Tasha Baxte and the dark yet soothing vibes that makes us all insanely anxious to hear his entire album. Talking of his drum and bass alias, Jon has noted
“D&B required me to fight, strive to improve my ability, my conviction. For you my output might look like a row of items on a table, equal and comparable, available for reference, but for me the music I've released as Spor looks like a slow climb up a sheer face. Some parts look painful and frustrating, others smooth travel. Now I've finally made a Spor album, in my own time, by my own choice. It was still a climb, but it sounds exactly how I always wanted. “
Caligo is set to be released on BitTorrent on March 9 and on iTunes and Beatport on March 11. You'll be able to pay for Caligo if you want, or not pay. It will be up to you.
