One of the worst parts of a fun weekend in Las Vegas is the dreadful early checkout times. After getting a couple of hours of sleep at best, having to check out by 11am if you're lucky is brutal. Luckily guests of The Palms will be able to hit the snooze button a few more times when they stay at the Palms Casino Resort.
The 1,200 room hotel is now rolling out a 24 hour checkout for all guests at no extra cost. All you have to do is book your room on the hotel's website and plug in the time you plan on checking out.
Marketing professor of Cornell University, Chekitan Dev, said “Whoever determined that 12 noon was the perfect check-in, checkout time was thinking of the housekeeping shift, not the guest.” Daniel Lee, CEO of The Palms Casino Resort said “It always struck me as a bit odd that we make people check out at 11 in the morning or noon, and we don't let them check in until 3 or 4. If you look at the car rental industry, you get a car for 24 hours.”
Let's only hope more hotels pick up this new model of checking out.
