Up-and-coming Progressive House producer Cole Plante has teamed up again with the Hungarian Trance & Progressive House duo Myon & Shane 54, to create a massive remix for Demi Lovato's single, “Neon Lights.” Their remix outfits the song with catchy synths and has a fantastic drumline: with a hefty kick drum, splashy hi-hats, and a rolling snare throughout the song. Once it drops to the break, atmospheric pads and filtered synths clear the speakers from the previous club-rocking rhythm. For those that aren't fans of Demi Lovato (which is probably 90% of people reading this), you probably identify her as “that crappy pop singer that tween girls are obsessed with.” And while the second part of that statement is true, you may have to eat your words about the first part, because Lovato's vocals paired with the melody create a sound that is bound to give you chills. Overall, this is a great example of how a radio hit can be turned into a fist-pumping dance track. The remix will be released with the rest of the Neon Lights Remix EP on Tuesday, November 19.
