With October coming to an end, there's plenty of shows to look forward to down here in Florida, but perhaps none of them have been accompanied with as much anticipation and excitement as Hulaween. Beginning on Halloween and continuing until November 2nd, this festival is absolutely going to be one for the history books. Headlined by String Cheese Incident, Sound Tribe Sector 9 (STS9) and Big Gigantic, this festival is being held in the serene Suwanee Spirit Lake.

Lineup & Schedule
While String Cheese is the definite main attraction with 7 sets on Main Stage over the three days, the festival has some real electronic talent attending. Among these are Big Gigantic, Conspirator, Eliot Lipp of PLM, Manic Focus and Satoru to just name a few that this humble author happens to know of. While the overall vibe of the music will almost certainly be more psychedelic so to speak, this comes as a welcome relief from the energy-depleting hyper energy sets often found in the club and concert scenes around Florida. The first set comes on at 5:30 pm on Thursday the 31st, with the following days having music start around noon or soon thereafter. Make sure to check out the day-to-day schedule to plan your festival shenanigans in advance. Anyone not checking out the silent disco is also to be sorely mistaken.
Things to Consider
As if the costumes and outfits at your typical festival weren't enough, coupled with Halloween, this festival should come out being the most highly costumed festival population this year, if not of the last 5 years. With yet-to-be-announced art activities as well as Yoga and the beautiful Suwanee River to play in, there are so many things to be done in your down time not jamming out like you should.
While the event is set to begin this upcoming Thursday, the cheaper strata of tickets have all but sold out on the official ticket site, with $189 being the lowest price available as of today for the whole event. Single day passes go for $80 and Friday Saturday tickets are on sale for $155 but are only available at the gate. For those Cheese Heads who have yet to hear of this, there are five different levels of VIP packages available with only one level being sold out already.
