This is Jack’s first concert event! It should be a long, late-night event with two great DJs. Hurry to register, the tickets are available now!
For a fast food chain, this is a pretty bold move. Jack in the Box has always leaned into its slightly weird, late-night persona (that giant Jack Box head mascot isn’t exactly subtle), so pairing the launch of its new Munchie Meal menu with an actual late-night dance party at a proper concert venue instead of just running a commercial makes a lot of sense. Club Nokia, which has since been rebranded as the Novo, was one of the go-to mid-size venues in downtown LA at the time, known for hosting everything from big-name DJ sets to award show after-parties, so it’s a solid pick for a brand trying to plug into dance music culture without looking totally out of place doing it.
Chromeo and Diplo are also a genuinely fun pairing for a night like this. Chromeo brings the funk-driven, talkbox-heavy grooves that always get a crowd moving without taking itself too seriously, while Diplo swings things into bass-heavy, hip-hop-inflected territory that keeps the energy high deep into the night. Between the two of them, “No Curfew” lives up to its name as a lineup built for people who have zero intention of going home early.
The free-ticket structure is worth paying attention to too, since it gave fans two separate paths to get in: registering online for the drawing, or actually going to a SoCal Jack in the Box between 9 PM and 5 AM to grab a Munchie Meal and an exclusive in-store promo code. That’s a smart way to drive foot traffic to stores during off-peak hours while building buzz for the concert at the same time. If this ends up being a hit, don’t be surprised if Jack in the Box keeps dipping its toes into concert sponsorships down the line. Fast food brands teaming up with EDM culture might sound odd on paper, but with 7 UP, Smirnoff, and plenty of other unexpected names already circling the scene, Jack in the Box getting in early isn’t as strange as it sounds.
