Shirobon is an electronic musician from London who makes insanely catchy 8-bit dance tracks built from crunchy synths and modified Gameboys.

Often, chiptunes (music that sample or employs antiquated technology for its sound) feels limited in its range of expression. Its as if the songs become stuck in a limbo generated by their own novelty or quaintness. There are plenty of artists who have overcome this hurdle, and with his latest EP, Shirobon seems to have joined them.
