On Tuesday, edmsauce was THE first blog to get the news that Knife Party members Rob and Gareth would be playing on turntable.fm playing unreleased and VIP tracks. What followed was an insane free for all of more than a dozen artists logging on and sharing their tracks – unreleased, works in progress, random glitch sounds, their favorite remixes – you name it, it was played. In the midst of the event, more artists like RL Grime, Freq Nasty, Carnage, At Dawn We Rage, Protohype, xKore, and Krewella emerged from the crowd to play.
On Wednesday, edmsauce was also in attendance for another electro and dubstep event with artists Patrick Reza, Mimi Page, The Beat Kidz, Shotgun Radio, and Arkasia. Arion, Butch Clancy, and others dropped in to share tracks as well. Chatting easily with strangers and fans, Butch Clancy joked that he was playing a Work In Progress and then going back to the studio to edit it based on comments from the crowd.
Today, at 5pm ET, NiT Grit and Stephan Jacobs will be on turntable.fm to drop new and unreleased tracks for their collaboration as Pizza Party here.
And all of this was, and is, completely free.
