In a list released by the company TravelBird, long time trance (and in the last few years house) icons Tiesto and Paul Van Dyk took the #1 and #2 spots respectively as the most traveled musicians of all time. With Tiesto touring since 1994 and Van Dyk beginning a few years earlier in 1990, the two have traveled around the world to play for their fans more than any artist in any other genre. Taking the spots behind them were massive artists such as Bob Dylan, Metallica, and Aerosmith.
Tiesto has impressively racked over 1.5 million miles traveled, including around 209,000 in the last twelve months. Van Dyk is close to 1.5 million miles traveled, and has traveled the same distance as if he had traveled directly around the world upwards of close to fifty eight times. Both artists have traveled the distance from the earth to the moon over six times and don't seem to be showing many signs of stopping. We can't complain either, seeing this two in person are some of the best live shows that electronic music has to offer. We truly hope the touring for both artists never stops!
