EDC Las Vegas’ Main Stage Cost $3 Million

In 2014, EDC Las Vegas constructed the largest stage in North America to date. The stage was 440 feet long and was almost 6 times larger than the stage used during Pink Floyd's “The Wall” tour.

For the 20th anniversary of Electric Daisy Carnival, CEO of Insomniac Events, Pasquale Rotella, decided to turn things up a notch. For the 135,000 attendees, Pasquale Rotella constructed a $3 million main stage. “What it takes us to build a stage today is very different than what it took us five years ago,” said Pasquale Rotella.

The main stage was a 70,000-person structure that took a month to construct at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The biggest of the festival's eight stages, the 700-ton design was 440 feet wide and was highlighted by a 90 foot, LED tree. The stage featured 33 flame torches, 1,400 lighting fixtures and had a price tag of $3 million.
