Stirring from a long slumber The Prodigy has returned and they are releasing new stuff for the first time in years. This would be newsworthy all by itself. Add a Spor remix to the table and now you have something special. Jon Gooch, aka Feed Me has resurrected his DnB ego, Spor. Spor's first project? The Prodigy's “Nasty”.
It is hard to imagine anyone pumping more energy into The Prodigy but if I had to pick one guy to do it, I would choose Spor. You can really hear how Jon has improved his sound creation under Feed Me and it has made him an all around better producer in all genres. With his mastery of drum and base Spor ramps up the energy on Nasty. It has a great driving force, fueled by hard hitting kicks,snares and symbol work that really shows Spor's maturation progress. This is a classic DnB track that has me with my eyes closed, head bopping back n forth wishing I was in a dirty underground London club. Spor is in his element and he crushed this remix. To say I am excited about some new Spor is quite the understatement.
