Avicii's “Wake Me Up” has turned the music world upside down here with its innovative blend of EDM and folk music. As the song continues to dominate the US charts, it is also now starting to break records. This week “Wake Me Up” became the longest-running number one in the history of Billboard's Dance/Electronic Charts as it has now been #1 for its fourteenth week. Daft Punk‘s “Get Lucky” previously held this record as it remained in the #1 spot for a total of thirteen weeks.
Not only has Avicii‘s “Wake Me Up” been a hit single, but he continues to dominate the charts with the recent release of his latest single “Hey Brother” as it now holds the #9 spot.
