The bass heads of the EDM community are fed today. Last night, Excision dropped his new album Apex early. The bass legend didn't hold back with his hard-hitting tracks and mind-blowing bass.
The album starts off with Excision's signature deep bass, dinosaur sounds. The song has a quick build up into hard-hitting, fast beats which set the tone of the album.
In Apex, Excision does feature some more melodic songs and features. “Gold (Stupid Love)” as well as “Wake Up” put more of an emphasis on lyrics and melodies while also including Excisions signature bass sounds.
“Home” is definitely a different track for Excision. It's another more melodic track featuring Dion Timmer with no hard bass from Excision like we're used to. But, we're quickly taken into the next track with Dion Timmer which does feature Excision's signature deep bass sounds.
All of the songs on this album show that this is probably one of Excision's best albums to date. We got new sounds, collaborations, and a whole new level a bass. We can't wait to hear this album live at Lost Lands.
