From a Twitter thread, YouTube's product manager Todd Sherman said that employees first thought that there was an earthquake. People began to run out of their meetings, but before reaching the exit were informed that someone had a gun.
Footage from Snapchat shows YouTube employees running out of the building with their hands about their head.

I looked down and saw blood drips on the floor and stairs. Peaked around for threats and then we headed downstairs and out the front.
