Above & Beyond Announces Acoustic III Tour Dates
After teasing fans about Acoustic III and releasing an acoustic version of “Flying By Candlelight,” Above & Beyond has come with some even more great news. Tour dates for the Acoustic III tour have been released and there are so many shows!
For anyone unfamiliar, the Acoustic series has become a real passion project for Jono, Tony, and Paavo over the years. Instead of the usual festival-ready production and huge room-shaking drops the trio is known for, these shows strip everything back to live instrumentation, a full band, and vocalists reworking their catalog into something more intimate. It’s a totally different vibe from your standard Above & Beyond set, and it’s given us some of the most emotional live moments in the group’s history, so hearing that a third installment is on the way, complete with a full-scale tour, has fans understandably hyped.
The tour will first begin in the UK for three days and will then take place in North America. Above & Beyond will be making stops in wonderful cities such as Washington DC, New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Considering how many trance heads live in those markets, we’re expecting these to move fast once tickets drop. The tour will make its end at Red Rocks, a very popular Colorado venue known for its beautiful scenery, and honestly there might not be a more fitting way to close out an acoustic run than under the open sky at one of the most iconic amphitheaters in the country.
Tickets for Above & Beyond‘s Acoustic III tour will officially go on sale on Tuesday, February 11th at 10 AM local time. Make sure to sign up for the pre-sale on their website so you don’t get stuck fighting for whatever’s left in general on-sale. Pre-orders for Acoustic III CDs and Vinyls are also available for anyone who wants the studio versions of these reworks to live on their shelf long after the tour wraps.
