Forbidden Kingdom, the New Bass Music Festival Everyone is Talking About [Event Review]

Last weekend, the first ever Forbidden Kingdom Music Festival took place at Sunset Cove Amphitheater at South Florida’s Boca Raton. The festival had a powerful lineup that consisted of full dubstep and bass music artists that definitely brought their all. Thousands of attendees joined together to headbang their life away until their necks couldn’t take anymore. I had the honor to attend this inaugural event and surely, it was way more than I had expected.

Main Stage
Certainly, a lot of work was put into this festival. The mainstage consisted of a huge yet detailed dragon head that seemed like it would breathe out fire in any second. The lights strongly filled the outside air, luring everyone’s attention to the sounds of heavy bass. The visuals themselves went smoothly, mesmerizing fans to look nowhere but towards the stage. Top act performers, such as Excision, 12th planet, Zomboy, Sullivan King, Dion Timmer, and many more popular faces took the stage and unleashed sets that were unlike any other. These sets consisted of so much bass music and headbanging that there was no way that anyone left the event feeling disinterested or unsatisfied.

Food, Merchandise, and Silent Disco
Forbidden Kingdom Music festival also allowed attendees to step away from the mainstage and enjoy some delicious yet reasonable food, great quality merchandise, and, my favorite, a Silent Disco. As many festival goers know, food tends to be a little pricey when it comes to music festivals. This festival was not that. The food was very reasonable, leading attendees to purchase food without having to completely empty out their wallets. There was a huge food selection that met with everyone’s dietary and health needs. There was also a large variety of merchandise that was being sold at the venue. There was not only Forbidden Kingdom merchandise being sold, but also artist merchandise from Excision and Adventure Club. Much of it was created by the popular Clothing brand, Electric Family. The festival definitely wanted attendees to walk home with great quality merchandise that they can cherish forever.

Additionally, Forbidden Kingdom’s Silent Disco took place during the full two days, situated by the main stage. Some of South Florida’s talented artists, such as Dubway, KAMI, and Jinx, were given the chance to wow fans with some of their bass-filled creations. Attendees were given the option to dance in front of the Silent Disco’s stage platform, or to listen to the music while taking in the beautiful view of the venue’s lake. This was surely a favorite for many attendees, especially since they were able to watch the sunset as they were partying their life away.

Future Plans for Forbidden Kingdom
For an inaugural event, Forbidden Kingdom Music Festival surely went all out to capture the hearts of all bass lovers. Fans are urged to attend this one-of-a-kind festival at least once in their life. Big plans have already been made for the festivals second edition. Coordinators are expecting to enhance the festival even more then what they did this year. Not many details have been shared as to what exactly will be added, but it has been confirmed that there will be a second stage added for some more heart-pounding music.

If you are a die-hard bass lover, then this is a festival you must attend. For more news and updates on Forbidden Kingdom Music Festival’s second edition, make sure to stay tuned here.
