Carbi B Apparently Thinks Tom Petty, Who Died In 2017, Gave Her Flowers At The Grammy’s This Year

The Grammy's were tonight. In the dance music category, the academy once again played it safe and awarded the honors to artists who have been in the game the longest. Other highlights from the awards include one of the most surprising Album of the Year victories for Kacey Musgraves and some outspoken red carpet outfits that championed both sides of the political spectrums.

Before I get into the reason why I wrote this article, I have to preface it with the fact that Cardi B made quite an impact at the awards this year. She is the first female solo artist in the history of the Grammy's to take home the award for best rap album.

She also had a performance that will be talked about for years to come. In short, Cardi B made the 2019 Grammy's her show. Unfortunately, she also uploaded a little clip to her Instagram story with a comical misunderstanding. Someone left the rapper flowers after her awards and used an iconic quote from Tom Petty for the card.

Cardi took the quote as a signature and thanked Tom Petty for the flowers, clearly not knowing he has been dead for almost two years. We all miss Tom Petty though, and we are sure if he was still around he would be gracious enough to laugh off the misunderstanding.
