Kaskade Returns For Director’s Cut of One Deeper Talks

DJ Hanzel, aka Dillion Francis, has brought popular DJ, Kaskade, back with a Director’s Cut episode of One Deeper Talks. This video contains a large amount of hilarious yet awkward moments. Truthfully, it’s so random that it makes the interview 10x funnier than it actually is.
If you’re not caught up, One Deeper Talks is the interview series Dillon Francis has been running under his DJ Hanzel alter ego since early 2017, and it’s exactly what it sounds like when you let one of dance music’s biggest goofballs sit down across from his peers with a microphone. Past episodes have put artists like Jauz, Flosstradamus, What So Not, Alesso and even Calvin Harris in the hot seat, and the whole format leans hard into the bit rather than trying to be a polished, buttoned-up sit-down interview. The “Director’s Cut” episodes take that a step further, dropping in the extended, unedited footage that didn’t make the original cut, which usually means even more chaos.
This particular Director’s Cut brings Kaskade back for round two, and it does not disappoint. You can catch the almost 9-minute director’s cut video on Youtube. Witness some silly moments such as Dj Hanzel interrupting half of what Kaskade says along with some throwbacks of Kaskade’s old tweets. If you couldn’t get enough of the original cut of the interview, then you will surely love this one.
What makes these Director’s Cuts worth watching even if you saw the original is that they feel less like an interview and more like two friends riffing for nine straight minutes. Kaskade, who’s usually one of the more composed, soft-spoken guys in the scene, gets pulled into Dillon’s chaos and honestly seems to be having a great time getting roasted with his own old tweets. It’s a good reminder that behind the festival sets and the massive Kaskade fan base, these are still just artists who clown around with each other like anyone else.
Make sure to check out the interview below.
If this one has you hooked, it’s worth digging through the rest of the One Deeper Talks catalog. Dillon Francis has quietly built one of the more entertaining, low-effort-high-reward video series in the dance music space, and the Director’s Cut episodes in particular are a fun way to see your favorite artists without the usual press-run polish.
