Secret Rendezvous have been making waves across the world for years, with their music now an international export from their home of the Netherlands. Singer-songwriter Sietske Morsch met producer and Guitarist Remi Lauw during their musical studies at the Conservatory in the centre of Holland after spending their youth sequestered in small towns. After graduating they spent some time as session musicians, where theirs sights grew larger, forming Secret Rendezvous and their self-described “Indie R&B” sound has seen nothing but success ever since, with milestone 2017 album For Real. garnering hundreds of thousands of hits online.
The duo now shares For Real. (The Remixes) which revisits the album with 4 fresh takes on the biggest hits from the release. You get a sultry re-imagining of U Send Me Flying by the duo themselves, aptly named Sexy Bedroom Remix and the rest of the release chooses to bring focus to 3 up and coming Dutch producers, giving back to the thriving Dutch music scene that set them on the musical journey they find themselves on.
Our personal favourite is Don't Look at Me That Way remixed by genre bending producer Mitchell Yard. He takes flavors of Reggaeton and mixes them into his unique cocktail of Future Bass. This release is a triumph for everyone involved and reaffirms Holland as a heavyweight in the music industry (like we could ever forget?).
