XXXTentacion Wanted Skrillex and Diplo To Produce His Next Album

2018 has been an extremely hard year for the music industry as too many of the worlds most promising young artists have been taken from us far too soon. Most recently, yesterday in Miami, FL 20-Year-Old mc XXXtentacion was shot and killed while getting into his car outside of a Motorcycle Store. Though there are questions into the thoughts and actions of XXX, there is no hiding/debating the immaculate-artistic career the 20-year-old built in such a short time (not to mention what the future could have held). No one deserves for this to happen to them and our thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family. His music will live forever.

Diplo Shares Collaboration Discussion Between Himself and XXXTentacion Which Included Skrillex

After the news was released of the happenings on June 18th in Miami, FL, many musicians took to socials to share their thoughts and condolences. With strong roots in Hip-Hop, no words rung truer than those from Diplo. He has always proven to bridge the gap between hip-hop and edm and his collaborations over the years have proven just that. Not to mention if you have ever seen him live, really speaks for itself. His admiration of the young rapper rang through in a heartfelt Instagram post, but, what really struck home for me was that he posted a DM conversation between he and XXX. The screenshot shows XXX's desire to work with Dip and Skrillex. The conversation took place last week where Diplo invited XXX out to LA THIS WEEK. We are left to ponder the possibility and question the reason why things work in the way that they do.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Hip-Hop community and the friends and loved ones of XXX. For EDM heads, there is really no confirmation that Jack U plans to rejoin. Sorry. Time will tell.
