With Insomniac Event's EDC Las Vegas 2018 just days away, Insomniac has been in constant negotiations with the Nevada Department of Transportation to roll back some of the freeway restrictions anticipated for this weekend in Las Vegas.
Both directions of US Highway 95 below Interstate 15 will now close from midnight Friday to 4am Monday. This will shave three hours off the previously announced closure. All of the ramps connecting those freeways will remain open.
With Las Vegas experiencing heavy traffic during EDC Las Vegas normally, the roadwork will still add some delays in getting to and from the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
“We found out late last week about the U.S. 95 closure, and since then have been working very closely with NDOT to make sure everyone has a smooth and safe trip out to EDC,” said Pasquale Rotella, founder of Insomniac Events.
