Deadmau5 Reveals Plans To Build ‘Mau5 Cave’ and Poolside Bar

After purchasing a beautiful $5 million mansion in Canada three years ago, Deadmau5 is looking to constantly improve his living quarters.
Despite being known for building an incredible studio and speeding around the town in supercars, Deadmau5 is now working on his very own “Mau5 Cave.”
Deadmau5 writes “Oh… this is what we’re building by the way. Making grill a pool bar downstairs and a hi-tech mau5 cave on the second floor :).”
Check out the new Mau5 Cave mockup below.

What’s Actually Getting Built
Based on the mockup images Deadmau5 posted, the project breaks down into two levels. The ground floor is shaping up to be a poolside bar, reportedly for his wife, while the upstairs is the part everyone’s curious about: the “mau5 cave” itself. Deadmau5 hasn’t spelled out exactly what that second floor is for, which leaves plenty of room for fans to speculate it could be anything from a hangout lounge to another creative space to go along with his home studio.
That speculation isn’t unreasonable given his track record. This is the same guy who’s already got an elaborate gaming setup inside the house, a full production studio, and a garage of supercars he’s known for tearing around town in. At this point, “hi-tech mau5 cave” could genuinely mean just about anything, and given his history of turning ideas into fully built-out spaces, we wouldn’t bet against it being something ridiculous.
The House Keeps Growing
It’s been three years since Deadmau5 dropped roughly $5 million on the Canadian mansion, and he clearly hasn’t stopped renovating since. Between the studio, the gaming room, and now a pool bar and a cave with his own name on it, the property sounds less like a house and more like a compound at this point.
It’s also very on-brand. Deadmau5 has never been shy about documenting his home projects online, from the original build of his studio to random glimpses of his garage, so it tracks that a mockup of a not-yet-built pool bar and cave would get its own Instagram post before a single wall goes up. We wouldn’t be surprised if the mau5 cave ends up doing double duty as a second studio or streaming setup, given how much of his career these days runs through livestreams and behind-the-scenes content.
No word yet on a completion timeline, but if his past projects are any indication, we’ll get plenty of behind-the-scenes photos along the way, probably followed by a very extra reveal once it’s actually finished.
