Months after its initial announcement (and only two weeks out before their debut), all the accommodations for Insomniac's first ever Camp EDC have officially sold out. Situated directly outside the Las Vegas Motor Speedway (and granting in and out festival access to its campers), the two tents and bring your own RV options were quickly taken up after last week's announcement that general admission tickets to the festival were sold out. This leaves only select VIP tickets and third-party resellers as your only options into the three-day event.
The launch of Camp EDC was disclosed by Insomniac's very own Pasquale Rotella late last year after years of guest complaints regarding traffic and long lines into EDC Las Vegas. While full alleviation of vehicle congestion is yet to be seen, this new camping option sees EDC stepping in line with other music festivals that include camping as part of their experiences.
Insomniac is setting the bar high and are aiming to immerse their campers in a 24/7 EDC atmosphere. This includes areas such as The Mesa which will give campers access to yoga, rave aerobics, arts & crafts, wellness workshops, guest speakers, beauty stations, barbershops, and massages. Campers will also have a pool with guest DJ performances, go-kart racing, roller rink, farmers market, food trucks and many more activities.
Camp EDC attendees can look forward to an official kick-off party Thursday, May 17th from 10 pm to 3 am headlined by Excision, G Jones, and Habstrakt. The campground will be open for arrivals Thursday, May 17th beginning at 3 pm.
EDMSAUCE will be covering all things EDC, including the inaugural Camp EDC, so keep an eye out for the latest out of the Electric Sky.
The 22nd annual EDC Las Vegas will take place May 18, 19 and 20 from dusk till dawn at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
