The next time you're debating whether or not to spend money on festival tickets, science says you should… for your health.
According to a recent study by UK music venue O2 and Goldsmith's University associate lecturer Patrick Fagan, attending concerts and shows can boost your life expectancy by nine years.
In addition to living longer, the study says that just 20 minutes of live entertainment increased “feeling of wellbeing” by 21 percent. This was double as effective as yoga is and three times as much from dog walking.
The feelings of wellbeing were measured from self-worth (25%), closeness to others (25%), and mental stimulation (75%).
So if you want to live longer, go to that next music festival!
