Moon Boots “Power” Gets The Remix Treatment By Legends Mylo & Cratebug

Following the release of his acclaimed debut artist album ‘First Landing’ last summer which cracked in our top 5 best house albums of 2017, Pete Dougherty a.k.a Moon Boots returns with soulful album cut ‘Power’ (feat. Black Gatsby).

One of my personal favorite tunes from the album, as well as memorably performed live on KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic show, ‘Power’ showcases Dougherty’s flair for fusing throwback R&B sounds with warm club grooves, paired with dazzling vocals from Black Gatsby.

The track receives the remix treatment from two of Pete’s musical heroes – first off we see the long-awaited return of iconic British producer Mylo. 14 years after his game-changing debut album ‘Destroy Rock & Roll’, Mylo now returns with his first release in seven years, a signature remix featuring his trademark disco-infused sounds.

The other remix is by Cratebug, a legend in the Chicago underground scene, and he turns in a high energy techno rework, equally suited for peak-time and the after hours.

Check out the two powerful remixes of ‘Power' below and if you live in NYC make sure to come check him out on May 11th in Brooklyn, I'll be there and I'll buy ya a drink!
