EDMsauce.com Artist of the Week: Hermann Park

Hello! Welcome back to yet another awesome EDMsauce.com Artist of the Week Series! We love being able to showcase new up and coming artists to our fans, and this week we have a SUPER DEEP producer we'd love to tell you about. His name is Hermann Park hailing from Austin, Texas.

Hermann Park is all about the deep-house and low-wub frequencies, which can be heard throughout the YouTube video above from his Mix Podcast, ‘Escape Room'.

We got a chance to sit down with Hermann Park to learn more about his story as a producer and his home-grown roots of plowing through the electronic dance music world.

“I grew up listening to all kinds of music. House music really stood out to me though. I started producing when I was 16, and started DJ'ing when i was in college. this all culminated in a release with molacacho records and new releases on both wolfrage recordings and far down records.”

Hermann also explained the ability to work around genres as a producer and how it can be a tricky slope.

“I'm still finding my way through what genres i really enjoy producing, but deep house is my main interest. I've also found that lo-fi house takes a lot of the elements i like, while paying homage to the wonderfully unapologetic house music of years gone by.”

Our Artist of the Week really takes his creative process seriously explaining that he starts a few different new tracks every single week and ends up mashing them all together at some point until he has something that is worth listening to and finishing.

“I find it useful to go back through old projects for months or years ago, and repurpose the old drum patterns or melodies that i couldn't quite make work before, but have better ideas in the present.”

Hermann Park has been making a name for himself in the local Austin dance music scene, finding more DJ gigs throughout 2018 and branching out to new experiences in the area. He started a fantastic deep house mix series called the ‘Escape Room' that has really drawn an awesome listenership. Hermann plans on producing more and more, working on his craft as 2018 eclipses into the festival season and hopes to make his rounds on the circuit.

Check out Hermann Park's newest track, ‘What I Wanna Do', as he showcases his production skills and love for Lo-Fi house music. The track features a staple Lo-Fi kick that really reverberates throughout the entirety of the track, while staying true to his house roots. This track could absolutely make its rounds in the clubs this Summer and could possibly hit the dance floor of any Tech / Deep stage at our favorite festivals!

Keep an eye on Hermann Park as 2018 Progresses! Thanks for checking out our newest Artist of the Week!
