As Shipwrecked Music and Arts Festival is set to take over Auckland, the popular festival cruise is currently undergoing quite a bit of issues.
The festival which takes off just north of Auckland, New Zealand, will now be dry. While tickets cost up to $250, it's still unclear at the time if festival attendees will be receiving any kind of compensation for the 6-day adventure.
Logan Baker of The Greatest Show on Earth, which organizes the festival, said “it's still going to be a beautiful event” despite alcohol not being available.
The special license application had been submitted to Auckland Council in early December, but apparently received strong opposition from neighbors and lake advocates in the quiet lake area. Despite two successful events in year's past, this is apparently the first year that neighbors have complained about the event.
